NYE

We returned from our travels and a New Years Eve party was born.
Hollie, my sister, her husband Clark, Jaren, Corby's brother, and his wife Cindy, Gayleen and Richard Ellis, my parents all came to welcome in the new year. Samie, Hollie's daughter, came to attend the region dance with Malia and her friends. I did not get any pictures of the dancing divas. Sierra went the an event in downtown with friends.

We ate like royalty and played fun games. Hollie brought a new game to share and I must admit it is a keeper.
Jaren is so tired. Wake up buddy, it isn't even close to the ball drop.
Nutella Cheesecake. I found this recipe on pinterest and just had to give it a try. Two thumbs up all around.
Teesh, Ada, and Hollie
Clark and Jaren
Hollie insisted I be in the photo so here I am with Clark
A few minutes to midnight we bundled up and headed down the street with our pots and pans and streamers. It was bitter cold but we all endured. I thought my parents were hilarious and so cute to participate.

Hollie and Clark brought fireworks. We know how to bring in 2015 right

Midnight kisses
Ada fell asleep and missed the streamers, pots and pans, party hats and cheers with sparkling cider
Cindy and Jaren, love the PDA that Cindy wanted nothing to do with
Clark and Hollie

Corby and myself, awe
I must say I couldn't have asked for a better year 2014. Lots of great exciting things happened. Can't wait to see what 2015 will bring.
Hoping for love, posterity, and abundance

Christmas Eve

Last minute I decided the Young Women needed a gift. I brainstormed and this was the end result. I could not have accomplished this without Teesh's help. She was instrumental in so many steps. The Young Women loved them and I must say I think they turned out great. I especially love the saying. Please Please Young Women believe what this says because it is true, every last word.

This year I ventured out to spread cheer to all neighbors through a variety of goodies. I have never done this and I must say it was fun. I baked multiple days and used all my girls talents and this was born. So yummy!
With our trip to New York on Christmas morning we decided to let the girls open their gifts a few days earlier so they could enjoy their present before our take off. it was so fun to see the excitement of Christmas through my Littles eyes.
Bria has been asking for a doctor set for awhile and surprisingly I was able to find one.

At first, Ada said she did not want to open any gifts. She told Bria to go ahead and open her gifts. What? Are you not feeling well, Ada? What 5 year old isn't interested in opening Christmas gifts?

It didn't take long for Ada to change her mind and open her own gifts. The girls got a double stroller and a bunk bed for their new baby dolls

I saw a few class mates of Bria's that had these super huge erasers. Bria acted interested so Teesh and went on the hunt. After about 10 stores being sold out Amazon.com we went. By the smile on Bria's face you can see they were a hit.
Our stockings were filled with lots of cheer and fun traveling perks.

Good Morning Teesh! She loves me taking her photo. I love that face.

This is where Malia is reading that her gift is payment for a trio dance competition. Malia with two other dancers will compete 4 different times throughout the year. Malia was so excited! As you might notice Sierra is not in the pictures, she chose to not join our family during our gift opening.

Extended Family Gathering, Hoagie Style

Hansen Extended Family celebrated the week before Christmas. Janalberries was in charge this year. She opted to have it at Grandma Kathleen's. Brings back memories when we would get together on a regular basis here. Sad, how time changes things. Grandma has a toy room to die for. The kids just love her rather large collection of toys. She has double strollers that make my girls turn green. I needed to snap a shot of the scene in the toy room. Girls playing quietly boys throwing and rough housing. You can't see it in this shot but that what was happening. Love the gender differences even at a young age.
Usually Grandma decorates her elephant plant as her Christmas tree but apparently this year brought change. Such a sweet little ole tree.
Everyone was able to come except Cindy's girls and HyLee and his family. Have to say not shabby at all. Yes, Kylar you have a question!

Lots of smiles and interactin. That's what we love to see at a family function.

We ate Hoagie Sandwiches for our Christmas Dinner.

This shot makes my heart swell with love. Three people I love so much. Lynners has moved to Arizona so her husband can further his schooling. I miss this soul. Lynners lived with us many many moons ago, I love her!

Nathan and Tina are expecting the next Hansen addition in June. They have two boys so I believe a girl would be a welcome spirit
This little cutie is a the youngest Hansen member, his daddy asked me to not share his name but isn't he cute?
All in all it was a great night. We ate, shared stories of our charitable acts, sang Christmas songs and bolted home. Family is the heart of the gospel. Merry Christmas Hansen Folk
