Random Love

So here are some shots I recently located that I want documented. Run Teesh Run. Here we are getting ready for our up coming half marathon. Teesh desperately needed new shoes. Isn't she so cute?

On a rather chilly day that looked warmer than it was, my girl's came out in their bathing suits. They wanted me to turn on the sprinklers, "oh no prob girls, it is 50 degrees perfect sprinkler running weather"

I found these selfies on my phone.. So cute!

3rd Half Marathon

That time of year has rolled around again.......Third Half Marathon here we come.
I had registered myself, Teesh, and Sierra to run this but half way through training, Sierra changed her mind so I offered the registration to my friend, Misty. She was training to run this and then her father passed away three days before the race. So, here I sit with a $65 nonrefundable registration. I threw it out to the universe and Hollie, my sister, snatched it up.
The weather wasn't supposed to be great but hey weatherman are wrong  sometimes, right?
Teesh, myself and Corby headed down the evening before to grab our registration packets. They had a picture of the route on the wall. The yellow line is our course. Does that look long to you? It looks long to me, but so exciting at the same time..

We got up at 5:00AM to prepare for our grand adventure. Met Hollie in the parking lot and prepared for the run. Hollie is a much more seasoned runner and began the run with us but quickly found her pace a few hundred yards(or miles) ahead of us. Go Team Hollie, you achieve that personal record, I am back here cheering you on!

The weatherman did not lie. It rained the entire time. It was just awful. Our shoes were drenched, our clothes were drenched. People were suffering from hypothermia and it was just not fun. Teesh and I found laughter amongst the awfulness. We laughed and laughed as we passed people screaming "love is a battlefield" by Pat Benator. Do people just lose their minds after that long of running? apparently so.
Teesh and I stayed together the entire time and crossed the finished line together. Hollie was there to cheer us on. Hollie was shaking so we quickly grabbed a photo and some goodies and headed to the heated car. Before getting to the car, there was a table with Weeks frozen raspberry jam so we grabbed an entire container and bolted. No need worrying our laughing would make us pee ourselves, rain took care of that.

I had to take a picture of me rewarding myself. Joani are you seeing this? This is for you my special friend.

Teesh had our key to the car. She handed it to me and I opened the door, threw the key on the front seat and then locked the door and shut it. Teesh went to open her door only to find it locked. I tried to open my door only to find it locked. What the crap? Laughing hysterically we just stood there wondering what just happened. I am losing it seriously. Hollie drove us to meet Corby on 90th South. We got back to our car and drove straight home. Drenched is not a strong enough word. Every inch of my body was saturated with water.
I wanted more than once to quit but Teesh and I stuck it out and finished. We didn't break any personal records, but we did finish. So proud of Leticia being the trooper she is!

Oink Oink

Introducing Bria Paige in her Culminating Event of her Kindergarten year. She was selected to be a pig, one of the three little piggies. I did the best I could but I had terrible seating and the guy next to me also had terrible seating so he kept arranging himself so most of my shots were of him so here is my limited supply.

Bria had been working on her part for over two months. She was so brave to get up to the microphone and proudly express herself the best way possible. Her part went as follows:
"Hard Work, No, Thank You, I'll build my house out of straw because it's easy"
She was so cute as she practiced I would encourage her to take breaths and slow down as she spoke. It was beyond cute to hear her take breaths and try to enunciate her words with emotion. Oh how I love 6 year old's and especially this 6 year old.
Abby and Bria, two best friends. Abby was Goldilocks.. Aren't they just adorable?

Getting Bria's items. See her cute classroom! Kindergarteners are just so darn cute and so innocent.
Of course, after any school program Bria knows that a treat must be enjoyed. Today we went to Macy's for a donut. Bria chose one the size of Texas and Ada got one with a cherry on top
Great job Breeta! You make your momma proud!

En Pointe Ballet

Ballet is a hard sport to photograph.
I am not allowed to attend weekly practices. I can't take pics during performances and pictures after performance just don't provide the feel of the sport.
I was in luck this year though, the instructor allowed parents to come to a practice so sit back and enjoy Malia in her element.
Presenting Graceful Malia Ruth.

Malia has struggled with her pointe shoes. First pair, lasted 6 months then all the problems began. We went to get her new ones and with the hurricane, Gaynor's were all on back order. We waited for 3 months before the pair we needed came in, which allowed Malia's muscles to be less strong. Most of this time was summer time so no biggie. When the shoes finally came in and Malia spent the time sewing them we thought we were good to go only to have Malia in tears more than not because of the pain she was experiencing. Heavenly Father answered my prayers and guided us to answers. So we bought the third pair($125 a pair) because the 2nd pair didn't have the proper shank. After getting those shoes sown, they broke. Is there a message here for us? We are still waiting for the 4th pair to arrive. Please hurry, recital is the 7th of June! One evening this note was on my bed. What a sweetie that Malia is. I love her goodness. How lucky I am to know her.
