150 Books

The first day of school Bria brought home a reading sheet. Every 10 books, she turned the paper in to put a leaf on her branch.. Today she returned from school with her entire branch, she filled the whole thing up!
Way to go Breeta! Job well done.
I love love love seeing Bria in her Friday uniform, isn't it just the cutest!

Bria informed me that she still must read every night,  she just  won't tell her teachers anymore. My little over achiever Breeta Paige!

Culminating Event

At NPA, we don't do parties, but we do do culminating events. Bria was given her part months ago. She worked on it daily as to have it memorized and delivered with personality. I love NPA and what they teach the kiddos at such a tender young age. Standing in front of others and speaking is a dying art, I've seen it time and time again. So glad my girls have been given opportunities even if it scares my little Breeta.

excuse the black hair in all my photos, sheesh, you would think I would have noticed while I was taking the photos, ametuer!

Bria's part:
Australia is the smallest continent of the 7 continents. It is referred to as "the Land Down Under". New Zealand is right next door.

Photo Bomber Ada with Bria and Chance, our carpool buddy.
Introducing Abbey H. Bria's best friend at school. She tells me she looks a lot like Brynlee, her cousin.

Job well done. I was so impressed with the students. They all did an amazing job with their memorized parts and sang their little souls out. The actions to the songs melted my little heart.

Midway....Ice Castles

Look at the size of that tongue! Teesh attacking Sierra. For our January family outing we headed to Midway. We had heard of these awesome ice castles so we went to check them out. When we bought our tickets it was encouraged to go after 8PM to avoid long lines. Well, that advise was suggested to more than just us because holy long lines. We waited for 45 minutes to enter into the massive cave. It was well worth the wait I might add.

A face only a mother could love, photo bomber Ada with mom.
Teesh, put on a happy face, we are almost to the entrance. I see you Magera!
I am being attacked. The things we did to entertain ourselves during the wait.

Ada refused to cooperate with the photo shoot!

Bria insisted on this hat. It brought back a flood of memories as Teesh wore this as a young child and insisted on wearing it as well. The good ole' days.
Notice an additional male in our family photo? Sierra brought a friend for the activity.

Got a little Christmas story going on with the flag pole

Look who we found on our journey? The girls were thrilled.

It was bitter cold but so worth the adventure. Good times had by all!
