Survival of the Fittest

Got my mighty hunters off and my littles to school and now its time to catch up on my life through words. Teesh, Corby, and Nathan all spent the entire week(ok Tuesday through Saturday) up in the chilly mountains. They saw lots of buck and deer but did not get a clean shot so came home with empty hands but full heads of memories. They all said they thoroughly enjoyed their time together.
Back at the home front, I was busy getting girls to different destinations like piano lessons, art class, gymnastics, young women's activity, canning applesauce, you know the drill, plus lets add Parent Teacher Conferences in this week just to be extra creative. Elementary PTC is a breeze. One teacher, scheduled appointment of 10 minutes.....BOOM done see ya in 4 more months. I always treat my girls to a new book from the book fair for working so hard. High school PTC is a rather different animal. No appointments, 8 teachers, all in different sections of a multi building high school translates to 2.5 hours of PTC. Thank goodness my piano teacher was ok with the girls staying a few extra hours doing their homework.  I tell ya how do single moms do it. I do it a week here a week there and I say no thanks!  Corby often asks me why I go when the girls are in high school, my response because I love hearing how my girls are excelling regardless their age, plus its a huge bonus to have my sweet, darlin, Malia next to me hearing how dang great she is. Now, we all know she is great, but who ever gets tired of a compliment??? Pretty much here's the run down, "Malia Hansen, oh yes, she has an A. She has 102% in the class. She participates and is well versed. She adds so much to our class"......go to next teacher....repeat.
Malia is my sunshine girl. Love her dearly. Thursday morning she took off super early for Cedar City to the Shakespeare Festival for the weekend. Malia has been practicing and helped choreograph her trio she will perform there(because I am writing this after the fact, I will gives you a heads up her trio took 1st place) Celebration is coming so stay tuned.
Clark, Hollie's husband, was leaving Friday to take his son Gage to find our mighty hunters. So Corby thought it would be a great idea if I took the littles down and then Clark could bring them to him. It was a win win all around. The littles got a small taste of hunting and I would get an evening to myself. With Clark and Gage gone and Bria,Ada and Malia gone, we decided we would have a sister outing that Friday evening. Watch out the crazy might come out of two housewives ha ha.
We wanted to see a movie but this time of year it's all horror stuff and that's not my love language so dinner worked and we then chilled at her house for our 4am wake up alarm.
We thought it would be fun to hike in the beautiful mountains near Hollie's house. We got on the mountain around 5:30(Hollie has a group of friends, they do crazy adventurous things weekly) well, I'm in the worse shape of my life and I let them all know I would be the trailer of the group so for sure to leave me and send food in a week. They laughed and said no problem but seriously it was so steep and their pace was similar to someone getting out of a burning building so Hollie and I were quickly on our own, but honestly I was ok with that since I didn't know the other ladies other than their names. These ladies are serious hikers, head lamps, hiking sticks, just super Johnny on the spot hikers.
Well, I did not do any pre planning and neither did Hollie and we quickly realized we were a little disoriented and lost ha ha. Our 11.25 mile hike turned out to be almost 19 miles and we were close to 50,000(yes, I did that correctly count those zeros) steps. Holy freaking hip flexors and calves. I was fearful I would not be able to walk but after some stretching and nutrition my body bounced back quickly. But wow, that was intense and we missed the whole Saturday of conference due to our misguided choices. It was fun and we laughed and laughed and peed on the side of the trail a lot and it was so enjoyable. I love Hollie. She is fun and let's me be me. Lucky to have her in my life. I don't have many close friends anymore so I am super grateful for Hollie. We had many conversations about parenting and how life can be hard. I shared with her lots of my mentoring techniques that have helped me and we discussed how taking away hard doesn't allow us to grow and learn. I used the analogy of the chick and the egg and how if you just break the shell thinking you are helping the chick you actually will hurt the chick and it will die. The process that the chick must go thorough to get out is what helps it become strong to be able to survive outside of the shell. Funny that the talk in conference on Sunday actually used that same analogy. Love the spirit.
We had to make a Costco run after we showered and got some food. Hollie wants to give each of her friends a squatty potty for Christmas and Costco had a 2 pack for $19.99. While she was getting her 6 the looks we received from other shoppers was making me smile and laugh the entire shopping trip. I just love not caring what others think and living my life, my style. I ended up purchasing a squatty potty for my family after the rave reviews Hollie gave it. TMI I don't have issues getting my business done but some of my family members do, so we shall give it a whirl.
As I was traveling home, I stopped at Jaren and Cindy's since my home was still vacant. We chatted and enjoyed visiting. I enjoy Jaren the most on the Hansen side. He is so accepting and rarely is there ever the feeling of competition with him. He is a breath of fresh air.

With it being General Conference weekend, that means cinnamon rolls. Malia got home from Cedar City around midnight Saturday evening and mentioned she wanted to learn how to make cinnamon rolls. Your wish is my command little sunshine girl.
We got up a little later than normal but hey give us a break we got to bed well after 1am. Malia invited Jameson over to help and watch conference. It was a delightful morning and those cinnamon rolls turned out more than mighty fine. Probably some of the best batch I've ever made. Malia has the touch. Conference was amazing as usual but I will be honest I didn't get a lot out of it. I am a visual learner so to read it sinks deeper. I had all the feels and was touched many times but reading it after the fact now thats where the true magic happens for me. Plus, being a mom I am constantly being interrupted and solving issues and yay, I can't wait for it to come out on paper. I do love listening to it on LDS.org as well. Love technology.
Jaren and his family came over for games and we played like we haven't in years(ok its only been weeks but it felt way over due) I love hanging out with their family. We have so many traditions and with their kids being similar ages to mine we just get each other and I love it.
Teesh spent the day with James at his condo and then headed to Logan really late. I worry about her driving the canyon that late but she is a good driver and very competent.
It was a jam packed week but we got it all done and everyone is happy, healthy and well fed.

Day in Day out

Most of my weeks are jam packed and that's just this phase of life. I am loving it and enjoying each day as they come because I know my time is short and I will wish I had more to do ha ha
I get my hair cut and highlighted every 6 and 12 weeks. I go to a lady named Ashley in Lehi. Its a drive I am not gonna lie but she is worth it. She gets me with what I want and she has become a dear friend over the years. She informed she is getting divorced after 14 years of marriage. It is sad but its sadder to see people be mistreated and taken advantage of more. I wish Ashley the best and have no doubts she will find someone to treat her the way she deserves to be treated.
Every other Monday I have class from 10:30-1:30 in South Jordan. Ann Washburn teaches it and wow I love her. She has helped me see things I have struggled with my whole life. She helps me see the issues and also offers suggestions to solve the issues. I am blessed blessed to be surrounded by individuals who are in creation mode and not victim mode. Hurray for goodness!
Ada has gymnastics every Monday and Bria has ballet. It is exciting to see my little girls growing up and developing talents. Ada still keeps telling me she likes dance better so we shall see how long our gymnastics world lasts. She is good, hands down very very good. The teachers after class keep moving her up levels. I don't care how fantastic she is though, balance is key and she is 8. She gets to be a kid and play and enjoy lots of variety and not spend hours upon hours in the studio. When she is older she can go back to competitive dance and I will be her biggest cheerleader.
After class I got the girls settle and then I spent the evening with some girlfriends. We have gotten together for over 18 years every month. Impressive I know! I love this group of ladies. We have endured a lot together and we get each other. One of my friends is going to be a grandma twice here in a few months. Can't wait to cuddle on those sweet bundles of pure joy. I think one of the things I love the most about my group of friends is we are all individuals. We accept each other even though we hold different religious beliefs and other differences.. Its a no judgement zone when we get together and its just down right a breath of fresh air I am not gonna lie. We opt for different fun places to eat at but this go around someone chose Red Robin. The company was good ha ha.
Tuesdays are Bria's art days. She loves her class and is making friends. She talks nonstop about the teacher and I can't get enough of her smile when she comes out of class.
A goal I have had for many years is to attend the temple weekly, ambitious I know, but oh so necessary for my soul. I have an abundance of family names from my mother and sister-in-law Jodi so I feel an urgency and responsibility to provide them with these sacred saving ordinances. I have had many spiritual experiences in the temple. Recently, I have been attending with my new friend, Patty Silver. She is the 2nd counselor in YWs and is an absolute delight. She is a widow and recently married my neighbor so she just lives down the street. She is a convert to the church was raised in less than desirable circumstances so I learn so much from her and her sweet spirit. She is a blessing in my life and an answer to prayers of many years. We go every Wednesday and I am grateful to have a partner.
Bria and Ada are now taking piano lessons. Sue Hardy is the best piano teacher on the planet. She is so patient and loving but firm. I wish I was required to take piano lessons as a child so my poor girls sorry you get that privilege. I believe you will thank me one day ha ha
The rest of the week was filled with gymnastics, homework and prep for the upcoming hunting expedition. Friday we had our ward fund raiser for the youth camps. We had a BBQ and had the youth bring a baked good and a service they would offer to the ward members. The ward members bid on the services and baked goods and we as a youth will power clean our garbage cans for a donation. It was a successful evening bringing in over $1,200. Not bad people.
Corby and I finalized a little more on the lot and house plans before the fund raiser. We discussed moving walls, adding garages, RV pads and so much more. Getting closer to final decision. We were able to walk through the exact floor plan we desired in a different subdivision and that helped my little visual brain so much. Its one thing on paper with dimensions all written out but to actually be in the room is another. I choose the later I am a visual gal. We are also getting final numbers put together so stay tuned, I will walk you through the process step by step as this is my families journal. I talk like others read this but in actuality I think it will only be read by my daughters once its printed.
Saturday I purchased tickets to listen to Hank Smith speak in Provo. I purchased 4 tickets so Malia brought Jamison and Madison. Hank is one of a kind. WOW! Such a powerful youth speaker. They fed us both spiritually and physically.  His topic was Teen Matters. He asked the youth are you a front row teenager or a back row teenager. Do you create your life or do you let others create it. He shared so many powerful experiences and had the entire rooms full attention. I loved that 3 hours. While I was gone with Malia, Corby took Bria to Liane's birthday party and Ada stayed with Corby.

Later that evening, the 4 of us headed to Apline to my uncles retirement party. It was held in my cousins backyard. This is my uncle George, he is my mom's only living sibling and is 11.5 years younger than my mom. George is married to Gaye and they have 5 children, Jory, Cassie, Jamie, Mindy, and Mckay. Such great fond memories growing up with these cousins. The party was held at Jamie's house and holy cow it was a mansion. She has a house that feels like the state capital upon entrance. Marble floors, three full kitchens just so amazing. She has a gym in her basement. A gym like one that looks like a church gymnasium. It was so fun mingling with that side of the family and good job George on retirement. You are an amazing man with an amazing family.
Sunday I co-taught in YW's with Brooklyn and Mary. We taught about Fasting. It was a fantastic lesson and one that I think all present felt the spirit.
Our Institute invited the seniors to attend a fireside on Sunday and guess who was the speaker??? Elder Ballard of the quorum of the 12. Malia wanted to get good seats so she went an hour early.....only to find that an hour early got her seats just not in the chapel. So moral of the story is if a general authority is speaking, get there Saturday morning for a Sunday evening fireside. She said it was amazing and helped her with some future decisions.  I wish I could have gone and listened to a prophets voice. I stayed home with Bria and Ada and our home teachers gave us a lesson and we enjoyed FHE by Corby.
Received a phone call from one of the yw moms this week and it was a little hard to grasp. I tell ya what serving the youth is a double edge sword. I love it! I love it so much but I could do without the parents. Whatever happened to giving people the benefit of the doubt. After a lengthy convo we did find a happy place so I will count that as a win.
Also, continue to be patient as I figure out how to upload photos. I figure it's best to get the words documented and then insert the photos later. So these are wordy but hey isn't that one of my traits.

Breeta's Golden Birthday

There is no possible way my little 7#14oz baby is now double digits. Nope, I am in denial and as long as there is denial it doesn't exist. Stay little my sweet sweet miracle baby who I prayed for and longed for for years. You are well worth the wait Miss Bria Paige!!!

Traditions are strong in this household. Many years ago I thought hanging crepe paper as streamers in the birthday girl's bedroom doorway complete with balloons would be fun. Well 10 years later we are still going strong. Bria requests the color and style now ha ha.  Anything you want my sweet angel girl, I love celebrating you sweet princess.
As the birthday girl wishes the birthday girl gets all day long. Bria wanted crepes for breakfast and to eat at Denny's for lunch and then Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner, holy carbs girl haha
Grandma Hansen came down for other obligations and stopped by to spend a little time with Miss Breeta. We all headed to Denny's and had a terrible experience. Not to be negative just to be real I like recording all aspects of our life. Ok so first off you are thinking well you are at Denny's what were you expecting and I totally agree but listen up you'll be amazed at our experience. So Bria's bday fell on a Sunday so we did the "go out" part on Saturday so Bria was denied being sung to and having her bday acknowledged because it wasn't her actual day.....boo for that! What grandma and myself ordered didn't come with what was promised and additional items were tacked on our ordered without explaining they weren't included. Ada asked for chicken and apples and the waitress insisted she order fries as well then brought out grapes instead of apples claiming the apples were rotten, tasty. Ada did not want the grapes so we exchanged the grapes for gold fish crackers and inside the bowl was waded up garbage........I know right! Once we saw the garbage and the fact that more than half of our meals were incorrect and also when we ordered water instead of pricey drinks we were told "Well, won't this be a fun table" I told the waitress that this was an unacceptable experience. She did not offer to reduce our bill or make any accommodations so we gave a small tip and headed out of there. I did call the general manager who promptly returned my voicemail and did give us a gift card to return. Jury is out if we will. So gross on so many levels. But we did not let that take our birthday spirited celebrations out. We headed to swig for a sugar cookie and dance drink. I really missed Sierra at this point as Swig is a favorite for Sierra. Oh how missions are bittersweet!!
After our cookie and drink, Grandma took Bria to the District to do some window shopping just the two of them. While they spent time together Corby, myself, Teesh, James and Ada all went to finalize more of our future house plans. We aren't telling many people about this endeavor for obvious reasons. There are still so many phases that much take place so for now the info is on the down low and Bria likes to talk so she got left out of the loop this go around. We did decide the lot plot and met with another neighbor who we really liked. She let us walk through her house and she told us what upgrades she would do and not do after being through the process just a year ago. Pinch me, this is just so exciting.

After shopping, all parties and Malia now joined us, met up at Pizza Pie Cafe for all you can eat pizza dessert pizza pasta and salad. Little Breeta you have amazing taste. The BYU vs UTAH game was on that evening so Malia went to friends and Teesh left with James to his house to all watch the game. While grandma, Corby, Bria, Ada, and myself made a mad dash across the street to Macey's for some case lot shopping. We were long overdue with case lot shopping so it was a double cart experience and we loaded our car trunk to the brim. Boy does it feel good to have my storage back up especially with all the natural disasters that keep occurring.

Sunday, Hollie, Clark, Samie, Gage and James plus our family all enjoyed a dinner in Bria's honor. She wanted orange chicken with white rice and sugar snap peas. Your wish is my command girlie. We held the spanking machine even though Bria kept insisting she didn't really want it but kept bringing it up so we "forced" her to go through. I love little kids. They are so fun.

Bria I want you to know I am so proud of you. You hold the kindest heart and are so sensitive to others. We will walk by homeless people and you are always asking how we can serve them. You are a math wizard and love to read. I am so lucky you are mine forever. You love to ride your bike, jump on the tramp, and plan things that are so far in advance. You are detailed about the small things in life and your ability to remember details from previous conversations blows my mind. If Bria corrects me I know she is right because she hasn't been wrong yet. You are an older spirit and so mature and respectful. You love to play with Shopkins and Grossery Gang people. I love listening to your imagination as you play. You are my America's Got Talent buddy. I look forward to watch it with you each week. I love you durla. I am so proud of you. I know you will get what you want because you have the drive and determination to make anything happen in your life.
Happy Happy Birthday Bria Paige Hansen

Labor Day

Wow, life is just a whirl wind of fun and crazy and time flies by so quickly. I have decided to just begin in the present and then play catch up of the highlights of the last year. So many wonderful things have happened this past year and I want our family records to hold those memories.
I have decided that the best approach for my records is a week glance and special highlight posts for really specific memories. So this will turn into more of a journal at a week glance. This feels right to me.
Labor Day weekend we reserved a camp spot at the Landmark RV.  It was a beautiful weekend. We didn't arrive to our destination until Friday evening pretty late but that's one of the perks of owning a trailer. Set is already done!

Saturday morning the girls swam and enjoyed the beautiful morning while I read my book and enjoyed listening to their laughter. Nothing is sweeter than fresh air and children's giggles. A tradition we have in our family is that each member gets to choose a meal we eat each week.  It's seriously one of the best things I have come up. I love to cook, but ideas are sometimes a struggle so if I have 7 family members and there are 7 days in a week problem solved and when on vacation its extra helpful because now I have a full kitchen to utilize while camping. Win Win
We eat like a king and queens and sleep like ones too. Seriously air conditioning and heat and flushing toilets, perfection I tell ya.

Ada was absolutely dying to drive a mini van so we found a car dealership and brought that dream to reality. She begs daily for us to purchase a mini van, a Chinese minivan(Toyota Sienna)
Malia, Jamie, and Teesh all drove up separately on different days to spend sometime with us. We played games, met our neighbors and enjoyed the company of Hollie and Clark for a few hours. I love being with those who I care for. Hollie taught us a new game called Lucky 7. She has a friend who is constantly finding games that we absolutely love.  Card games are the bomb diggity bomb.
I mentioned we met our neighbor, Lara. She is a widow and is living out the dreams her and her husband had been planning. She chose to not have children and now says she is so grateful because she would be raising them alone since her husband passed on unexpectantly and at a relatively young age. She has a yellow camper, yellow chairs, a yellow rug and just basically everything you could desire in the color yellow. The girls all mentioned how Grandma Hansen would love that set up.  She shared a meal with us and played games and allowed the girls to walk her little Roxy with her. It was fun to discuss our beliefs in a higher power.

We cut our camping short and came home Sunday rather than stay through Monday. We had some goals to accomplish Monday and we were far too excited to put it off another week.
Monday was full of finishing projects and prep for upcoming week. Lots and lots of exciting things were lying ahead of us. We finished the girls rain gutter regatta boats and then went house shopping.  I will leave you in suspense for now but know that dreams do come true. Dreams of 10+ years peeps is becoming a reality. I am stoked!!!

The girls both participated in the regatta on Tuesday evening and both made it to the final rounds. They worked hard and with help from Uncle Ron (an expert in creating fast boats) they were both finalist. Ha ha. It was such a fun evening seeing all the kids having fun.
Bria signed up for an Art Class at our rec center. She is taking it with a neighbor girl who recently moved in. It's fun to see Bria excel in her talents. She is loving this class and learning so much.
Wednesday, I headed down to American Fork to learn more about macro counting at CoreLife Eatery by Trainer Lindsey. This is an area that I want to implement in my life forever. It resonates with me deeply and is truly the answer to me living in my fullest highest potential. I will share more as I see fit. After the class I headed to Provo to visit with Becky, McKay's grandma. Becky is one of those people who you feel better after being around her. She is so funny. She is a breath of fresh air. She has a similar personality to my sister LaraLee. She gave me an update about McKay's mission and his family. It was a super fun afternoon. I needed it.
Thursday was just crazy awesome. I got the kids off to school and then prepared to be gone for the remainder of the day......Logan here I come.
I rode up with my friend Anna Smith who lives in Holladay. We met through some classes we both took through Kirk Duncan. I had a Reiki appointment with Mindi and Anna did some personal things.  If you don't know what Reiki is look it up, life changing. Mindi is a master at her trade and I feel so grateful our paths crossed about a year ago. We have a deep connection. Mindi helped me process the hang ups I am experiencing with the forward momentum of our future home. It was a power packed day.
At 6pm, class with Kristen Bowen, Living the Good Life Naturally, began. I love this group of ladies I get to associate with. We have weekly zoom calls every Friday and I can honestly say its a highlight of my week, second to Missionary Monday of course.  Kristen teaches me how to heal your body with superfoods and good solid supplements. I drink coconut water and molasses for potassium, sole for sodium and I soak multiple times a week for Magnesium.  I know this kind of stuff is probably boring but I find it fascinating and its my passion to feed my body with the most healthy foods possible. I believe with all I possess that God created our bodies to function on food and the processed stuff that is available is not food. It's a life mission to teach others about the products that are commonly used that don't serve you. I know most don't care, they take the approach I feel great why do anything different. Well peeps, your food choices will create your future so for today things might feel great but over time hydrogenated oils and food dyes and man made vitamin D and so much more will build up inside you and issues will arise. Ok, stepping down from my soapbox.
Our class was supposed to go 6-9 but it went until 10:30 and I did not complain. Anna and I could not stop talking the entire hour and a half ride home. I sure do appreciate Anna!
While I was in class,  Jamie picked the girls up and stayed with them until Corby got home and then Corby took Ada to gymnastics and did the evening routine. Lucky I am to have a team partner in Corby.
Friday, we went birthday shopping for our Breeta girl after school. She wanted to choose her gift so I happily obliged. Off we went to Toys R Us and grabbed a stuffed elephant for Kaylee and Bria chose her gifts. It was fun to just let her explore. After Kaylee's Tea Party, we headed to Herriman for the Futurity First Annual BBQ. Texas Roadhouse catered it and it was such a beautiful evening. Relaxing and meeting the newbies that have joined Corby's team. Oh here's where I will insert that Corby was just given the award of Top Producing Office of the entire company. I am not sure if you understand what a great honor this is. It represents the hard work Corby has put in the last few years. So proud of  Corby and his valiant efforts.

Is anyone out there?

Hello! I feel like an introduction is appropriate at this point ha ha. Wow, its been longer than a year since my last post. Time flies when you are having fun and raising teenagers and youngins..
I switched from HP to Mac and I love my new computer but the learning curve has kept me on my toes. I still haven't figured it all out with photos but I have so many thoughts swarming in my noggin that I needed to just write and will add photos later. Thank goodness for classes to teach an old dog new tricks.
So school just started and that's been a whirl wind.
A little recap of where we are in our family.
Teesh just moved to Logan. She works from home so she has the luxury to live anywhere. Logan has always felt right to her. She has 3 roommates who all know each other from their missions and are all so great. Super encouraging with Teesh and include her in their activities. It's a win all around. My brother Brad and his family are close and have been a great source of comfort for her. Gotta love it when you have people you can count on and sometimes put my daughter's needs above theirs. Thankful for Brad and Teresa beyond words.
Sierra is serving a mission in Chile Concepcion South. She attended the Mexico MTC for 6 weeks July 4th. She currently has been serving in Chile for almost a month. Crazy that its been over 2 months since I gave her a hug. I miss her terribly but she is so happy and doing what she wants and it's how I want things to be. I didn't have children intending they would be around my whole life. My greatest desire is to train and teach them to be competent kind adults who go after their dreams and I will be a cheerleader on the sidelines. Go Team Hansen. Girls!! Sierra Mexico MTC companion is from St. George and was a huge blessing. She said they became instant BFF's and have helped and encouraged each other from day one. It was a tearful event to be separated once they arrived in Chile. Sarah's mom has reached out to me and we chat often. Love good people in my life. Sierra has a good friend named McKay who is serving in Equador right now. It was fun to see them prepare for their missions together and who knows where this will end in 2 years. If my vote counts I am hoping it ends in wedding bells, we shall see!
Malia is a bit of a blur(as seniors typically are) She is president of Dance Company. She is on Seminary Council. She is on our City Council. She works at our local rec center and she is Laurel President. She is up and out of here by 5:40 every morning has dance practice before and after school and gets home around 3:45 with work from 4-10.  Now do you see the blur comment.  I committed to make breakfast for my girls each school morning, so yes I am up at the crack of dawn and I love it. Malia is my ray of sunshine. She is so level headed and just a fun person. I love our time together even as limited as it is. Malia is deciding on universities and her future. She plans to serve a mission and is currently leaning towards attending BYU. A lot will be decided when scholarships start being offered. BYU has always been her goal. She has exceptional taste in good friends. Jameson is her main squeeze. She has been an instrumental influence for Jamie. He doesn't come from an active family and since they have become friends Jamie does baptisms for the dead weekly and they study the scriptures nightly through Face time.
Bria is our 4th grader. She got Ms. Sinca has a teacher. Ms. Sinca is from Romania and is a perfect fit for our Breeta. She is structured and runs a very organized classroom, perfect storm for Miss Bria to learn in. Bria attends Navigator Pointe Academy and says being in a 5.5 math class is not her favorite ha ha. Our school is a level base learning school and so if you are in 4th grade but are capable in doing mid to end of year 5th grade level work you'll be assigned to the more advanced class. Just one of the many reasons why NPA has my heart and always will.
Bria loves tennis and is taking an Art class. She is also in piano and is interested in drama. Now is the season for exploring little angel so lets do it.
Ada Rae is our 2nd grader. She has Mrs. Corbett(her kindergarten teacher) We made the decision to have Ada repeat first grate. Best. Decision. Ever. for our little munchkin. She is thriving and her confidence is sky high. She has a new friend daily and is our little social butterfly. She was competitively dancing the last two years and I believe in balance so we pulled that plug until she is a bit older. She has the talent and ability to go far in that arena but for now we will explore new things for a bit. She is currently enrolled in Epic Gymnastics. She keeps getting moved up to another level each class. I knew this would be the case because that little rubber band can learn and master a skill in a snap of a finger. She is so fun to watch. She is beginning piano this year and just entered activity days and loves it. She is walking on cloud nine this past week as her leader drives a mini van and Ada wants a mini van more than I want carbs. Bucket list item checked off, rode in a mini van ha ha.
Corby is rocking the position as manager of Futurity First. He was just told his office is the #1producing office in the entire company. It is so fun to see him excel in what he loves. We are the proud owners of a 2014 Lexus, a 2017 Silverado, and a 2012 31' camper trailer. You could say this was the year of upgrades ha ha. Corby serves in the Stake Sunday school presidency and enjoys the low key responsibilities it offers. He was teaching Gospel Doctrine and would count that as one of his favorite callings and was sad to be released.
and then there's me, little old me. I am the carpool pro, chef of my pantry, macro counting animal, and living the life of my dreams ha ha.  The day to day is tough I am not going to sugar coat it. Some days I really want to go back to bed and pretend I have no schedule. Our schedule is C~R~A~Z~Y!!!!!! It's a love hate relationship for sure. Its a phase they say, you'll miss it when it's gone they say, and I am saying oh yea, try me ha ha. No, I am grateful I get to be home with my girlies and volunteer in their classes and be here for that 15 minutes to catch up with Malia and my weekly interaction with Sierra and my daily snapchats with Teesh and texting. Would not trade it for the world just sometimes I get a little tired you know..
I have been serving as Young Women's President for over 3 years and I love it. It is so fulfilling and time consuming but hey I made a covenant to serve so I might as well serve where I feel the most love.
So that's a recap. I will be better about updating and I will get caught up, that's a promise. So stay
tuned and get ready to have your mind blown with all the excitement I will soon be sharing.
