Dirty Dash at Soldier Hollow

Saturday September 14th will forever be remembered!

 This is us before.....

In Yellow you have Larry, Joani, Shelby and Jaxon in Coral you have Corby, Jennifer Sierra, Malia and Teesh
It was a race to the finish line to see which team placed first. Joani had her stunt gun and I my brick, we planned to take out anything or one that stood in our way of victory.
And this is us after!

This is such a classic, catch Sierra in the background happy happy happy. To her defense, mud would randomly spit out at you so it got in your eyes and made for some unpleasantness. Do you see Malia trying hard not to loose her footing. Don't get dirty Malia.
Teesh being oh so careful not to fall. Love the tan girl!
Malia heading down the awesome slide to the finish line! She was the only lucky one who got their photo taken here. Yay for Malia.
Last year I did this with some friends and my girls inquired so much I signed up the family for the fun the following year. We really had a great time. Cindy was awesome to watch Bria and Ada while we spent the day bonding.
The mud pits were awesome. They were so deep and gooey. We laughed and had a great time. Corby mentioned we might do this for the next family reunion, be glad we don't have a turn coming up anytime soon peeps.
All in all the race was so fantastic.  As we drove up to Midway, I gave my pep talk, it went like this......
me:  Which one are we doing girls the 5k or 10k.
Malia:  can we see how we feel when we are up there.
me: No, it is a mental game if you don't decide before hand what you will do you'll not push yourself.
I then added we are also doing ALL the obstacles no matter what. I am proud to announce my girls(and Corby) did every obstacle and we ran the10k.
Goal Accomplished! Well done Hansen Clan.

On the way home, we stopped at the cheese store. This place is awesome. It is in the shape of a barn and they sell cheese curds, ice cream, beef, crafts, just about a little of everything. We stopped and grabbed a treat.
Girls each enjoyed ice cream and cheese curds. The ranch ones are the bomb.

Corby loved the tomato and basil cheese curds. See the weather in the background? We barely finished our race and got somewhat cleaned up and the rains came down. Good thing we finished, the rain made everything so muddy;) ha ha
