August Family Outing

We have established a few new guidelines in our household.
They are as follows:
1. Everyone must communicate in a respectful manner.
2. We will have a fun outing as a family, monthly.
3. All electronics will be turned in at 10PM and given back when chores are completed in the AM
4. Everyone has a different day they are in charge of for prayers. They can choose to say it     or ask others.
5. R.A.K...Random Acts of Kindness

We have really struggled with a home that was contention free and happy. I was introduced to Trish. She is a nature-path and homeopathic expert. She has been an answer to so many prayers. She has all the answers to all our problems. She has helped me to own what is mine and give away what is not. She has helped our entire family to become our true authentic self. Someday, I will go into detail what that all means but wow, this lady is amazing.

For our monthly family outing, we have a designated amount to spend and every month someone is in charge of what we do and how we spend the money. With Teesh leaving, we put her in charge of August. Well, time got away from us so we did August fun on September 1st. Close enough, it still counts!

Teesh chose to hike Donut Falls. It was a beautiful day up in the canyon.

Ada missed Teesh. Most of the weekend that is where you found Ada hand in hand with Teesh.
Ada insisted in on wearing the backpack full of water, what a little trooper she is.

Brr.......... that spring water is chilly!
 Mean Girls
The hike ended for a few of us but Corby, Malia and Sierra braved it to the very top. I stayed back and let the little girls play and enjoy the spring water.

Did you notice, you can actually see Ada's face. She kept her barrette in. It was history in the making.

Not a great shot of any of us, but I love how I am putting on Bria's shoes. Good thing she is flexible!

And the hike on the way back. I was so impressed with all my daughters doing what it took to master this task. No complaining just persevering. The hike wasn't bad at all but there were some steep parts especially for little ones.

We all enjoyed ourselves.  We got back to the Yukon and it began to rain, nice timing for sure. I love spending time with my family outdoors. We usually get a camping trip in, but not this summer. I miss camp fires and sleeping in a tent. Next summer, we need to squeeze a camping trip in no matter if our entire family can come or not. When we returned home we all enjoyed some no bake cookies, compliments of Corbster.
