Church Volleyball

Malia has been playing church volleyball. Well, she practices with them but has only been able to play in one game. Seems every Saturday is booked solid. Malia has developed a love for volleyball and has really improved her skills.
Teesh was down for the weekend and there was a forfeit so Teesh was recruited to fill in an empty spot. So fun to see my girls grow and blossom with their many talents.

Malia has perfected her underhand serve. It was fun to see this transformation occur over the two years she has played.

Our ward boundaries split a few months back so when we gather as a stake, it is fun to see familiar faces we don't see as often. Tiffany, from our old ward, has the opportunity to hold and care for a real live baby doll. This thing is amazing. It has magnets in it and it is attached to a bracelet that Tiffany has to wear. It knows how far away Tiffany gets from the doll. It keeps track of how often she feeds it, changes it's diaper, and how long she lets it cry. Pretty amazing stuff. Poor Tiffany could not even play volleyball since she would be too far away. Such a great idea for teenagers to understand just how much work a little baby can be. Bria and Ada loved holding, feeding it, and taking great care of it. When this doll sucked on it's bottle it even made a swallowing sound.
Introducing Baby Deklin......
The game after ours was a forfeit so Teesh and Malia filled in. So fun to watch.
Teesh serving. She even had a few aces. Go Teesh!
