Through A Fairy Ring

Malia has been practicing twice a week since July for this upcoming performance. She is going to do amazing and I can't wait to see her on stage.

Synopsis
Act 1.....Fairies in the Garden

It is a lovely spring morning and two sisters have woken early to check their fairy house at the garden entrance. They are excited to discover a wonderful surprise. Their fairy house has a visitor....a fairy!
The girls dance for joy carefully holding the delicate fairy as they dance.
In the garden there are many tiny fairies, playful pixies and sneaky garden gnomes all dancing until the sisters come near. The garden is alive with excitement this lovely spring day.

Act 2....The Fairy Ring
As the sisters venture beyond the edge of the garden, they cross a trickling stream, see beautiful flowers, buzzing bees, darting dragonflies, graceful butterflies and a magic fairy circle of mushrooms.
The sisters know that a mushroom circle is a magical place where fairies dance.
If you are caught in the circle you will be transported to the fairy realm. They excitedly enter the enchanted circle and their amazing journey to the land of the fairies begins.

Act 3.....As Small as Fairies
The sisters realize that the fairy that was in their hands now stands in front of them in the fairy circle.
At first they think the fairy has grown taller, but the fairy points out that they are now very small like her and she motions for them to see that the flowers are now much taller than they are.  The fairy leaves to tell the other fairies that they have guests and the girls begin to explore the garden, in awe of the sights before them. It is such a magical place and the sisters are amazed that the arbor is actually held by by the flower fairies. The sisters sit on seemingly giant  mushrooms as they watch the garden come to life as many fairies and elves dance for them. A group of Woodland Fairies notice the girls have no wings and fly away to tell the Fairy Queen.

Act 4......Meeting the Fairy Queen and King

The sisters are soon introduced to the Queen of the Fairies who welcomes them and thanks them for the fairy house. The Seasons Fairies bring gifts for the sisters and all of the fairies take a turn dancing for their honored guests, including the Queen and Kind who perform an enchanting pas de deux. After a lovely evening, the Fairy Queen dances once more and then motions for all of the fairies to  dance together. By now the hour is late and the sisters are becoming sleepy. They reluctantly enter the fairy circle once more with the fairy and wave goodbye.

Act 5 ......Returning Home

The sisters return to the garden entrance and carefully place the tiny fairy back into her fairy house. It has been a glorious day of fun and dancing with the fairies.....A day they and the fairies will never forget. The sisters notice that they still have wings...magical wings that only they can see. A special gift from the fairies to remind them of their extraordinary day. Childhood is such a magical time. Remember fairies only reveal themselves to those who believe.

Malia was a Primrose Fairy!

It was so fun to have Sammie and her mom, Hollie, come to support Malia. Sammie and Malia are only 10 days apart, they are such close cousins and I couldn't be more happy. Two beautiful girls.

Grandma Hansen surprised us yet again to support Malia

Aunt Hollie is a favorite!
Because it was Teesh's bday and Malia's performance we treated everyone to Leatherby's. Clark and Sierra joined us for ice cream. Sierra had to work her first 12.5 hour shift today but we are so glad she chose to join us in celebrating when she got off work.

You can't go to Leatherby's and not order fries. Why must Corby be so goofy? We love him regardless but I do have to ask myself that question often.

Bria and Clark
I sat next to this dish, it is my favorite thing to get at Leatherby's but I was strong and did not have even one lick. I just sat and ate my 20 raw almonds like an obedient person who has $500 on the line.

It was a fun filled day. Great performance Malia, you amaze me with all your many talents. Thanks for the family that was able to support, it means the world.
